JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After conquering the First Coast, Jacksonville University women's basketball's all-time leading scorer will be taking her talent overseas, as Sherranda Reddick announced her signing with TK Hannover in Germany.
"I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to play at the next level," Reddick exclaimed. "I'm literally watching my dreams turn into reality, and all I can say is I'm so blessed.
"I'm looking forward to joining the TK Hannover club and being a part of a successful year."
The Jacksonville native has always been a champion.
Suiting up for Ribault High School, she led the Trojans to a state championship in her junior campaign, and saw history repeat itself at JU when she helped guide the program to its first-ever ASUN Conference title during the 2015-16 season.
Reddick concluded her Dolphin tenure as the team's all-time leading scorer with 1,727 career points, while picking up First Team All-ASUN, all-tournament and all-freshmen honors along the way.
This past season, she led the league in scoring with 17.0 points per game – scoring 20-plus points in 12 games – and averaged 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.7 steals.
She also served as the Dolphins' team captain.
"As a coach, the greatest gift you can receive is watching one of your athletes succeed. Not by anyone else's standards but theirs," said Head Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. "I'm truly happy that Sherranda is able to reach her goal of playing professional basketball. Her work ethic, discipline and winning attitude is the reason why she has this opportunity. I look forward to watching Sherranda blossom. The best is yet to come!"
