FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Jacksonville women's soccer team fell at Atlantic Sun for Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. The Dolphins were handed a 2-0 loss by the Eagles which remained undefeated in league play this season.

"We played an excellent team who is very good at home today," said Head Coach Brian Copham. "Unfortunately we gave up a ball in behind us early in the first half and had to chase the game. They had us on our heels a bit early in the first half. Once we got settled in and connected a few passes we had more success. We also learned about the effort it's going to take going forward."

Jacksonville (9-7-1, 3-3) now sits in fourth place with nine points with only the match at city rival North Florida remaining next Friday. A win and the Dolphins would move past the Ospreys for the third seed in the upcoming A-Sun Championship which gets underway Nov. 1.

The Saturday, Florida Gulf Coast received goals from Tabby Tindell in the 19th minute and from Paulina Speckmaier in the 58th minute.

Jessica Cataldo-Ramirez (Agoura Hills, Calif.), Sope Akindoju (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and Joy Grove (Midlothian, Va.) each had two shots to lead the Dolphins attack.
